Playmakers was fantastic. I hate that the NFL thought it cast a "negative image" of them and politely asked ESPN to change it or drop it. I guess that was what it made it so good was the fact that you knew that could be happening!

What about the Disney Classic with the field goal kicking Donkey/Mule/Horse....Cant remember name came out back in the 70's.

is HBO's 1st and TEN any good? I saw it on DVD but have never seen any of the episodes. WalMart has the full 80 episodes for under $20 i think. something like $19.98

yes, 1st and 10 is great. Its a comedy drama that ran from 84-91 on HBO, it features Donald Gibb, OJ Simpson, Lawrence Taylor to name a few. Fans of the original series may be slightly disappointed as the first couple of seasons are in poor picture quality, they have added laugh tracks or "canned" laughter have no idea why, they have changed some scenes and I have no idea why, but its still worth 20 bucks for the whole series, I been waiting on this one. Also a great football movie is the biopic about legendary coach Paul Bear Bryant called, "The Bear"

Not to take a jab at anybody, but I just got done watching the best football movie about the best football fan I have ever seen. If you haven't seen "Shorty", you need to. It is a very moving story and there are a lot of lessons that can be learned by watching it.
